"Salka", a Quechua word (the language of the Andes) for "undomesticated energy". Salka is like a wind that
blows through consensus reality from beyond, bringing us into contact with the great mystery and beauty of existence.
Nonprofit Organizations Involved in Ayni with the Andean People
Kenosis Spirit Keepers. The mission of Kensosis Spirit Keepers (KSK) is to honor and preserve the integrity of
indigenous wisdom and sacred cultural practices by providing cross-cultural exchanges, education, and community-building opportunities. KSK is currently working with the Q'ero of Peru,
the Lacandon Maya of Mexico, and the Hopi of Arizona. Carla Woody, the president of KSK, is a person of great wisdom, heart, and integrity. I am the vice president of this organization.
Heart Walk Foundation. The Heart Walk Foundation works to support the preservation of native cultures and
earth-honoring traditions through education, health care, and sustainable agriculture. Their current focus is on Q'ero villages in the Andes of Peru. I know
the people who run this and they are great.

Kensosis "At Kenosis, our purpose is to offer education and support to those who are on the path of
deepening their lives and in the awakening of spiritual emergence. Kenosis comes from the Greek and means emptying. Many of us wake up one day and
find that we must actively step into the process of kenosis. We must begin draining the unwitting containers of society's programming that we had
become in order to live from a place of authenticity and true service" (from the Kenosis Web site). Among other things Kenosis offers spiritual travel to
various places in the world, including Peru to work with Americo and Gayle Yabar and the Q'ero.
Inti Wasi. "In Quechua, the language of the high Andes, Inti Wasi means the House of the Sun. Salk'a is wild, undomesticated energy
that we all have within us, and it is our dynamic link to the Cosmos. Salk'a resides in and around us in the Mystery, and with Love, connects us all
with each other and the Mystery of the Divine. The Inti Wasi website, therefore, is a doorway for the expansion of Cosmic Love and Salk'a on the planet.
It is the intent here at Inti Wasi to assist others to connect with their truest, Divine nature. When ancient, sacred practice is used to open the energy
body, people remember how to be in connection with Nature, with themselves, with each other and ultimately, with the Divine" (from the Inti Wasi web site).
Best Resources Tom and Bobby Best offer a variety of training including journeys to Peru to work with Americo Yabar and the Q'ero.
They have posted some videos of Americo on YouTube.

Sacred Hoop. "Sacred Hoop takes a down-to-earth approach to the ancient sacred traditions of the world. The magazine was originally
established to meet the needs of the then re-emerging shamanic community and continues to be a key forum for networking scared traditions worldwide" (from their web site). If you go to their web site you can
download a pdf version of many of their previous issues, including Issue 44 which has an article written by me entitled 'The Real Heart' (also available through the Salka Wind 'Articles' page).
Sacred Fire Magazine. "Sacred Fire magazine is published by Sacred Fire Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization that
supports initiatives that honor and sustain indigenous spiritual approaches, traditional knowledge, and the ancestral ways that foster global balance and sustainability.
Through articles and stories, poetry, humor and art, Sacred Fire calls us to re-awaken and listen to the deep inner heart voice within each of us, so we can find
healing, create loving relationships and build communities that honor and celebrate the Divine energies alive and at play in the world. Sacred Fire magazine brings
traditional wisdom to a modern world in need of sustainable spiritual solutions" (description provided by Sacred Fire Magazine)

While I provide a translate into other languages resource on each page of this site, another resource is The Dialectizer which can be used to
translate any page into a variety of dialects, my favorites being 'Swedish Chef' and 'Elmer Fudd'. An example of the Salka Wind About page translated into Elmer Fudd can be viewed here.
